RN Manager - NICU and Pediatric

Job Summary
Conduct daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care, while scheduling, leading, and overseeing unit activities on assigned shifts. Build a high-performing clinical team by recruiting skilled nurses, completing periodic evaluations, and coaching personnel. Establish standards of care, monitor critical processes through data audits, and resolve operational issues to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes. Authorize overtime as needed and complete monthly staff schedules to prevent short staffing. Facilitate throughput by managing bed turnover and forecasting admissions, while collaborating with facility services to maintain equipment safety.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- One year's leadership experience
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration
