RN Manager – Neuro Trauma Progressive Care Unit

Provide operational and clinical leadership for the 23-bed Neuro Trauma Progressive Care Unit, managing day-to-day department operations including staffing, scheduling, patient throughput, and resource allocation. Conduct patient and family rounding to improve service excellence, partner with clinical educators to support competency development, and collaborate with resource nurses to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges. Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and documentation standards while leading regulatory compliance efforts and assisting with budget management and supply utilization. Support performance evaluations, coaching, and employee development initiatives, and participate in staff meetings and performance improvement projects. Assist with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and staff retention efforts. Support direct patient care during periods of high census, staffing challenges, or emergency situations.
