Job Summary
RN Manager leads nursing home staff and activities on a designated shift, assigning residents to qualified staff, monitoring care quality and resource availability, and providing nursing care as needed. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (RN) required
- Current unencumbered RN license in state of practice or multi-state licensure (NLC)
- Three years of nursing management experience (at least two years in a manager or higher level
- Knowledge of nursing practice act and standards of nursing care
- Leadership may consider educational plan for pursuing Bachelor's degree within five years of hire for certain facilities
- Experience with subacute/long-term care settings preferred or required per facility
- Ability to train and develop staff, monitor resident care areas, and manage resources per shift
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Clinical knowledge including basic life support (BLS) and potential administration of oxygen/IVs/medications as prescribed
