Job Summary
RN Manager on the Mother-Baby/L&D unit responsible for creating a safe, patient-centered environment with a high-performing nursing and ancillary staff. Leads daily unit activities, collaborates with physicians and department leaders to ensure efficient clinical operations and high patient/family/staff satisfaction, supervises personnel, coordinates care plans, monitors outcomes through audits and data, conducts rounds with physicians, manages staffing and overtime, and drives education and adherence to standards of care and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS: Required
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred
- National specialty certification in area of nursing administration preferred
- Five years' technical experience preferred
- One year's leadership experience preferred
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting preferred
