Job Summary
RN Manager for Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby on a defined unit in a 162-bed acute care facility. Responsible for building a high-performing clinical team, coordinating daily activities, leading rounds with physicians, and ensuring safe, high-quality care while meeting regulatory standards. Oversees staffing, education, performance evaluations, and patient/family satisfaction initiatives; collaborates with charge nurses, physicians, and department leaders to optimize clinical operations and throughput; manages overtime, schedules, and unit resources; drives patient safety, quality improvement, and compliance efforts, and leads change initiatives with independent judgment across the unit.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required)
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS (required)
- CPR certification or BLS certification from approved vendor per AH policy (preferred)
- National specialty certification in area of nursing administration (preferred)
- Two years' experience in acute care nursing (preferred)
- One year's leadership experience (preferred)
- Master's Degree preferred
- Five years' technical experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy (required)
