Job Summary
RN Manager - L&D, Mother-Baby oversees a defined unit's clinical operations, supervising front-line nurses and ancillary staff to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Maintains a visible leadership presence, coordinates daily activities and staffing, conducts rounds with physicians and health team members, ensures adherence to standards of care, drives patient-family and physician satisfaction, and aligns education and development with unit goals. Collaborates with staff, charge nurses, physicians, and department leaders to optimize operational performance, safety, and regulatory compliance, and leads initiatives to improve patient outcomes and staff engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS: Required
