RN Manager - L&D, Mother-Baby

Build a high-performing clinical team by recruiting, retaining staff, and coaching personnel while completing periodic evaluations. Conduct daily rounds with physicians, direct care activities, and coordinate individual and team conferences to revise care plans. Monitor critical processes through audits, analyze data, and investigate operational issues to ensure patient safety and compliance. Manage unit staffing by assessing needs, authorizing overtime, and completing monthly schedules to prevent short staffing. Set standards of care, develop strategies to improve satisfaction, and facilitate throughput via early discharge and bed management. This role supports Adventist Health Sierra Vista's Level III NICU and trauma center in San Luis Obispo, fostering a culture of open communication and whole-person care.
