RN Manager - L&D, Mother-Baby

Job Summary
Lead the Mother-Baby unit by conducting daily rounds with physicians, scheduling and coordinating shift activities, and completing monthly staff schedules. Direct nursing and ancillary personnel to ensure safe, complication-free care while managing overtime, staffing levels, and emergency preparedness reviews. Build a high-performing team through recruiting, coaching, disciplinary actions, and periodic evaluations, while establishing standards of care and driving quality improvement initiatives. Monitor critical processes through data audits and incident reports to maintain regulatory compliance and optimize patient throughput.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- One year's leadership experience
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration
