Job Summary
RN Manager - L&D/Mother-Baby responsible for leading a high-performing clinical team on a defined unit to deliver safe, patient-centered care. Maintains a visible leadership presence, collaborates with physicians, charge nurses, and department leaders to ensure efficient operations and high patient/family/staff satisfaction. Schedules and coordinates daily activities, mentors staff, conducts evaluations, and uses independent judgment to drive patient safety, quality of care, and regulatory compliance. Conducts daily rounds with health team members, coordinates care plans, and oversees staffing, overtime, throughput, and education needs to support optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing (RN) or equivalent
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy (required)
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS (required)
- Clinical leadership experience preferred
- Two years' experience in acute care nursing preferred
- CPR certification or BLS preferred
- National specialty certification in nursing administration preferred
