Job Summary
RN Manager overseeing the Family Birth Center unit, partnering with physicians and staff to ensure safe, high-quality, family-centered care. Leads daily operations, staff supervision, and scheduling for a defined unit; drives patient safety, satisfaction, and regulatory compliance; coaches and disciplines personnel; coordinates care plans, educational needs, and performance evaluations; engages in throughputs and early discharge planning to optimize flow and outcomes; requires a Bachelor's in nursing, RN licensure, and leadership experience with preferred Master's and clinical leadership credentials. Demonstrates strong collaboration with charge nurses, physicians, and department leaders to achieve unit and organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Five years' technical experience: Preferred
- One year's leadership experience: Preferred
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting: Preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Preferred
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration: Preferred
