RN Manager, Family Birth Center

RN Manager, Family Birth Center at Adventist Health Portland leads and directs a defined nursing unit, partnering with charge nurses, physicians, and department leaders to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and efficient clinical operations. The role involves supervising and coordinating daily activities of nursing and ancillary staff, staffing planning, promoting patient safety and satisfaction, guiding educational needs, implementing standards of care, and driving performance improvements. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing (Master’s preferred), RN licensure in the state of practice, and leadership experience in acute care; CPR/BLS preferred, with additional specialty certifications and advanced degrees encouraged. Responsibilities include daily rounds with physicians, coordinating care plans for patients and families, evaluating personnel, managing overtime and scheduling, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
