Job Summary
Conduct daily rounds with physicians and staff to coordinate patient care, monitor critical processes through data audits, and resolve operational issues. Build a high-performing clinical team by recruiting personnel, coaching staff, completing periodic evaluations, and managing attendance. Schedule and lead daily unit activities, authorizing overtime as needed, and complete monthly staff schedules in collaboration with management. Establish standards of care, develop strategies to improve patient and physician satisfaction, and facilitate throughput through early discharge and timely admissions. Ensure equipment maintenance, prevent care complications, and conduct emergency preparedness reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- S.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE)
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
- Acknowledgement of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- One year's leadership experience
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
