Job Summary
RN Manager, Birth Center in Labor and Delivery leads a high-performing clinical team on a defined unit, collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure safe, quality care and optimal patient/family outcomes. Responsibilities include supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, scheduling and coordinating daily unit activities, driving patient safety and regulatory compliance, implementing care standards, conducting rounds with physicians, addressing operational issues, and coordinating staff development and educational needs. Requires RN licensure in the state, a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), and certification requirements including BLS, NRP, FHM, ACLS, STABLE, and TEAM. Demonstrates leadership, staffing oversight, and accountability for patient care quality and staff development within a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- S.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE)
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Master's Degree is Preferred
- Five years' technical experience is Preferred
- One year's leadership experience is Preferred
- Two years' experience of acute care nursing in hospital setting is Preferred
- National specialty certification in area of expertise or in nursing administration is Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is Required
- Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) is Required
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) is Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) is Required
- S.T.A.B.L.E Certification (STABLE) is Required
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) is Required
