Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, synthesize collected data to formulate nursing diagnoses, and implement care plans within legal and regulatory parameters. Evaluate patient outcomes against evidence-based benchmarks, report responses to interventions, and coordinate follow-up care or referrals. Maintain accountability for quality of care and continuous professional development in accordance with state and federal standards. Requires current Texas RN or LVN license, ACLS certification within 12 months, and critical care experience preferred. Full-time Monday through Friday shifts with minimal on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- An associate's degree (ADN) or diploma in nursing
- Current State of Texas License as a Registered Nurse or LVN
- ACLS certification within 12 months of date of employment in the Heart Institute
- Minimum of one on-call weekend or alternative schedule monthly and one major and one minor holiday per year
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
- Certification in area of specialty (e.g., CV, CIS etc.)
- Critical Care experience
