Job Summary
Supervise Resident Services Department associates, including C.N.A.'s, and assist in supervising the medication program and resident self-administration. Maintain positive relations with residents, families, and physicians while reporting significant incidents to the Executive Director. Support the Resident Services Director in hiring, performance management, training new associates, and scheduling staffing. Assist with clinical assessments, recertifications per ALSA requirements, and resident service plan completion. Provide coaching and mentoring to department associates as needed. Work weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as assigned. Requires Licensed Practical Nurse licensure, CPR certification, and two years of clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the appropriate state(s)
- Basic first aid and CPR certification
- Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience
- Physically able to bend and reach
- Physically able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. at times
- Physically able to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to transfer residents and use a Hoyer Lift and other medical equipment when needed
- Required to work weekends and holidays as assigned
- May be required to work on shifts other than the one for which hired
- May be required to work extended hours
- Subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions
- Could be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents due to mental status
