Job Summary
Administer medications and treatments per provider protocol while taking and recording daily client vital signs and assessments. Assist with client admissions and discharges, including completing nursing admissions such as intake surveys, blood draws, and TB testing. Record client observations, report to the medical team as needed, and maintain a safe, sanitary environment. Compassionately interact with the client population, including those in recovery and mental health treatment, while following all policies regarding client information protection and confidentiality. Attend staff trainings and meetings as required.
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted licensure in GA (as required by facility)
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret policies and directions, and present information effectively, both orally and written
- Ability to work with both chemically dependent and individuals in psychiatric care in a non-judgmental, compassionate fashion
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff as well as with referral sources
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions from a wide variety of data and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with people in recovery and/or in mental health treatment a plus
