Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in assisted living under RN supervision. Demonstrate competency in age and population-specific standards while performing testing to evaluate resident status. Administer medications or treatments as ordered and ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents. Document resident interactions, outcomes, and dietary needs while counseling families on prevention and treatment plans. Work 12-hour night shifts in a part-time capacity with a union position, earning a $3.00 hourly premium plus a $6,000 bonus. Requires current licensure and accredited nursing program graduation.
Required Qualifications
- Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Requires current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice
- Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting
- The LPN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge
- utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan
- Must possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status
- Ensures the health, comfort and safety of residents
- Contributes to the assessment of residents

- Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with resident, health care providers, and the public
- Ability to work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team
- Counsels residents, family members and/or resident advocate, under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician on prevention and treatment plans
- Knowledge of resident education principles to develop a self-care program
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
