Job Summary
Registered Nurse/LPN in Ambulatory Women's Health setting at Mercy. Provides patient care under RN supervision, supporting minimally invasive gynecology and urogynecology visits, including procedures (urodynamics, catheter placement, post-void residuals), in-office bladder scans, injections, and patient education. Utilizes Epic for documentation (ICD-10/CPT), coordinates surgical scheduling per physician protocol, supports front desk tasks, and maintains infection control and safety standards. Requires graduate practical nursing program and active LPN license, with BLS (and possible ACLS/PALS/PEARS) as unit-specific requirements; capable of performing in a fast-paced outpatient environment with strong care coordination and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license (state-specific)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
- ACLS/PALS/PEARS or other unit-specific certifications may be required
- Proficiency with Epic documentation
- Experience/ability to perform specialty procedures (e.g., urodynamics testing, catheter placement, post-void residuals)
- Ability to stand/walk most of duty hours, lift up to 50 pounds
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Intermittent patient education delivery and care coordination
