Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents, managing assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, providers, families, and residents to coordinate care, conduct assessments, and deliver education across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment. Serve as charge nurse when assigned, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of competence. Maintain competency in age and population-specific standards while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association ethics. Work night shifts in a 12-hour rotation at Gss Nd Lakota Ctr, with every other weekend and holiday off.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
