Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessments, and implement interventions for health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, residents, and families to plan and evaluate care plans. Manage delegation of tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel while ensuring safe administration of care. Serve as charge nurse to delegate appropriate tasks within the scope of nursing practice and resident care needs. Maintain competency in age and population-specific standards. Work night shifts in a not-for-profit Christian environment serving seniors, with every other weekend/holiday off.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
