Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care plans. Coordinate resident assessments, education, and interventions while demonstrating competency within the full scope of nursing practice. May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel based on resident needs and staff competence. Maintain licensure in the state of practice and adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards. Full-time 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend/holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
- Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
