Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessment, and implement interventions for health maintenance and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, residents, and families to plan and evaluate care while demonstrating competency within the full scope of nursing expertise. Serve as charge nurse when assigned, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel to ensure safe administration of resident care. Maintain licensure and department-specific certifications in compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and state administrative rules.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
