Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate care, manage health maintenance, and address diagnoses and treatments. Perform resident education and various nursing interventions while demonstrating competency within the full scope of practice. May serve as charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within their scope and competence. Maintain licensure and obtain required department-specific certifications. Work night shifts in a 12-hour rotation with every other weekend/holiday off.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
