Job Summary

Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment. Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, deliver education, and implement various nursing interventions while collaborating with interdisciplinary colleagues to plan and resolve service concerns. Serve as charge nurse when assigned, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of competence. Maintain competency within the full scope of nursing expertise and adhere to state licensure standards and the Nurse Practice Act. Work 12-hour night shifts on a full-time 40-hour schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring
  • Possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
  • Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
