Job Summary
Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with families and interdisciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care while coordinating resident assessment and education. Manage preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment phases, and serve as charge nurse to delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel. Maintain competency within the full scope of nursing practice and adhere to state licensure and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Requires an unencumbered RN license, preferably a BSN, with full-time 40-hour night shifts including every other weekend/holiday rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
