Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessments, and implement health maintenance and treatment plans for seniors. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, families, and providers to plan, evaluate, and resolve care concerns while serving as charge nurse when assigned. Delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within their scope of competence and practice standards. Maintain competency in age-specific nursing standards and adhere to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. Full-time 40-hour night shift rotation with every other weekend/holiday off.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
