Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care for residents, coordinating assessments, education, and treatment across all phases of health maintenance. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and families to plan and evaluate care plans while demonstrating competency in age-specific standards. Serve as charge nurse to delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel, ensuring safe administration of resident care. Maintain licensure and obtain required department-specific certifications within the Nurse Practice Act and state administrative rules. Full-time position with 40 weekly hours, every other weekend/holiday schedule, and 12-hour night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
