Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessments, and implement interventions for health maintenance and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues to plan and evaluate care while serving as charge nurse to delegate tasks to assistive personnel. Maintain competency in age-specific standards and practice within the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association Code of Ethics. This role operates on every other weekend/holiday shifts at the Gss Nd Lakota Ctr in Lakota, ND. A Bachelor's Degree and unencumbered RN license are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
