Job Summary
The RN in Long Term Care provides nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) for residents, collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team, and may serve as charge nurse. Responsibilities include resident assessment, education, coordinating care, and performing nursing interventions within the scope of nursing practice and state regulations. Requires a nursing degree (BSN preferred), an active RN license, and appropriate licensure (including potential multistate licensure). 12-hour day shifts, rotating weekends/holidays, focusing on preventative care and health maintenance in a not-for-profit senior care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license
- Multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Drug screen and pre-employment background check may be required
