Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Long Term Care provides individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process, collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate care, may serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed or unlicensed personnel, ensures safe, reliable administration of resident care, and adheres to the Nurse Practice Act and ethical standards. Responsibilities include care coordination, resident assessment, resident education, and various nursing interventions across preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment; shifts are 12 hours (6:00am–6:00pm), with every other weekend and rotating holidays; opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive benefits package are noted.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
