Job Summary
The RN in Long Term Care provides comprehensive nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation). Collaborates with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within scope. Practices within the Nurse Practice Act and relevant state rules, with emphasis on resident safety, health maintenance, and preventive care. This role supports a rural community setting and participates in incentive programs; includes a 12-hour day shift and a sign-on bonus. Education and licensure requirements emphasize a nursing degree and active RN licensure; BSN preferred. Benefits offered for eligible full-time/part-time staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- RN license in state of practice; multi-state licensure if applicable to NLC states
- Obtain and maintain required competencies and certifications for department
- Sign on bonus available
- 12 hour day shifts
- Full time status
