Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate resident assessment, and implement interventions across all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues, residents, and families to plan and evaluate care while demonstrating competency within the full scope of nursing expertise. May serve as charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within established job descriptions and resident care needs. Maintain licensure and department-specific competencies while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and American Nurses Association standards.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred
