Job Summary
Coordinate total nursing care for patients in the Endoscopy unit at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA, while participating in patient and family teaching. Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards. Perform duties under the direction of the Manager, Patient Services, or designee, ensuring care is appropriate for the age group of patients regularly served. This 11-13 week assignment includes day shifts with variable start and end times, alongside weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotations. The role may require floating to other Southcoast hospitals including St. Luke's and Tobey. Required Qualifications
- Current Southcoast Health System employees are not eligible for consideration
- Former employees must be separated from Southcoast for at least 9 months to be eligible
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent
- Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of one year of Endoscopy nursing experience
- Competent in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips
- Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments
- Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Weeknight, Weekend and Holiday Call Rotation
