Job Summary
Coordinate total nursing care for patients under the direction of the Manager, Patient Services, or designee, while participating in patient and family teaching and collaborating with ancillary staff to maintain professional nursing standards. Provide care appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served at ASU, including competency in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips. Perform duties across the Charlton Memorial, St. Luke's, and Tobey facilities as needed during the 11-13 week assignment. Requires current Massachusetts RN licensure, BLS certification, and minimum one year of ASU experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current Southcoast Health System employees are not eligible for consideration
- Former employees must be separated from Southcoast for at least 9 months
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent
- Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of one year of ASU nursing experience
- Competent in reading and interpreting basic telemetry strips
- Ability to efficiently float to other like-units for patient assignments
- Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Weeknight, Weekend and Holiday Call Rotation
