Job Summary
RN Lead - OR provides unit-based leadership, supervising and directing nursing and ancillary staff to ensure cost-effective, high-quality patient care and safety. Collaborates with Nurse Manager/Director, physicians, and health team to develop and revise care plans, fosters patient- and family-centered care, conducts rounds, gathers feedback, and drives quality-improvement initiatives. Responsible for staffing decisions, performance coaching and disciplinary actions as needed, and ensuring compliance with Joint Commission standards and hospital quality initiatives. Requires Bachelor's in nursing (Master's preferred), RN licensure in CA, and supervisory experience; BLS certification required; clinical nursing administration certification preferred. Responsible for developing systems to improve patient experience and ensure safe, effective care delivery across the unit.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills: Required
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Essential Functions require clinical leadership and supervision in nursing care
- CPR or BLS certifications: Required per department standards
