Job Summary
Provides unit-based leadership in the OR nursing environment, supervising and directing activities of nursing and ancillary personnel to ensure high-quality, cost-effective patient care and safety. Partners with the Nurse Manager/Director, physicians, and staff to develop and revise care plans; conducts rounds; seeks feedback to improve customer satisfaction; drives quality and patient experience initiatives; ensures compliance with Joint Commission standards and hospital safety programs; manages staffing based on patient acuity; hires, disciplines, and evaluates unit personnel; collaborates on policy and procedure improvements; supports staff development and budget considerations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- RN licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification: Preferred
- Five years' supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills: Required
- Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
