RN Lead, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Full Time, Nights

Provide unit-based leadership in labor and delivery and postpartum care, supervising nursing and ancillary personnel to ensure cost-effective, professional outcomes and high patient satisfaction. Initiate and coordinate team conferences to revise care plans, make rounds to assess patient needs, and solicit feedback on quality of nursing services. Manage staffing requirements based on patient acuity, assign personnel to patients and activities, and arrange relief for meals and breaks. Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals, participate in Performance Improvement Teams, and recommend policy or procedure changes. Evaluate performance of unit employees, coach and discipline personnel as appropriate, and directly participate in hiring and termination decisions. Maintain department equipment and cleanliness while keeping staffing costs within budget.
