RN Lead, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Full Time, Nights

Lead unit-based leadership in labor and delivery and postpartum, supervising nursing and ancillary personnel while directing patient care activities to ensure safety and quality outcomes. Initiate and coordinate conferences with health teams to revise care plans, make rounds to assess patient needs, and solicit feedback on nursing services. Manage staffing requirements based on patient acuity, assign personnel to patients, and handle schedule adjustments, meals, and breaks. Coach, discipline, and evaluate unit employees, including decisions on hiring and termination. Recommend policy changes, investigate operational issues, and participate in Performance Improvement Teams to enhance patient satisfaction and safety goals. Maintain department equipment, ensure cleanliness, and keep staffing costs within budget.
