Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing care plans, and managing daily staffing based on patient acuity. Conduct rounds, solicit feedback, and resolve operational issues while ensuring compliance with Patient Safety Goals and Joint Commission standards. Coach staff, evaluate performance, and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient satisfaction and reduce costs. Maintain department equipment and cleanliness while balancing overtime and scheduling adjustments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
