Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing care plans, and managing staffing based on patient acuity. Initiate team conferences, make rounds, and solicit feedback to improve quality of patient experience and address operational issues. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission safety goals, participate in performance improvement teams, and maintain equipment and department cleanliness. Evaluate employee performance, coach staff, and manage scheduling while keeping staffing costs within budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
