Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing care plans, and managing staffing based on patient acuity and needs. Coordinate team conferences, assess unit operations, and implement quality improvement initiatives to ensure cost-effective, safe patient care. Resolve operational issues, coach staff, and make hiring or termination decisions as required. Maintain department cleanliness and equipment functionality while keeping staffing costs within budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
