Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership in labor and delivery, postpartum, and related services by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel. Initiate and coordinate team conferences to revise care plans, make rounds to assess patient needs, and solicit feedback on quality of nursing services. Manage staffing based on patient acuity, assign personnel to patients, and coach or discipline staff as appropriate. Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals, facilitate equipment maintenance, and recommend policy changes to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
