Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing care activities, and initiating team conferences to revise patient care plans. Manage staffing requirements based on patient acuity, assign personnel to specific patients, and coach or discipline staff as needed. Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals, implement quality improvement initiatives, and investigate operational issues to enhance patient experience. Maintain department equipment, ensure cleanliness, and keep staffing costs within budget while minimizing overtime.
