Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing care plans, and managing staff performance. Conduct patient rounds, solicit feedback, and implement systems to improve quality of care and patient satisfaction. Ensure compliance with safety goals, manage staffing based on acuity, and resolve operational or patient care issues. Maintain equipment and department cleanliness while keeping staffing costs within budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience
- demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- all required vaccinations
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree
- CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
