Job Summary
Provide unit-based leadership by supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, directing care plans, and managing staffing based on patient acuity. Coordinate team conferences, assign staff to patients, and handle performance evaluations, coaching, and hiring decisions. Ensure compliance with Patient Safety Goals, facilitate quality improvement initiatives, and maintain department equipment and cleanliness within budget. Solicit feedback on nursing services and recommend policy changes to improve patient and family satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing
- Five years' technical experience
- Supervisory experience
- demonstrated supervisory skills
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- all required vaccinations
- acknowledged access to and reading of E-Verify Participation and Right to Work notices
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree

- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification
