Job Summary
A part-time Lactation Consultant role focused on providing education, support, and counseling to expectant and new parents regarding breastfeeding. Responsibilities include independently assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, conducting phone consultations, and ensuring compliance with nursing policies. The position requires a current Registered Nurse license, an Associates degree in Nursing, CPR and NRP certifications, and IBCLC certification, along with previous postpartum experience.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in State of Maryland or compact state
- Associates degree in Nursing
- Certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Certified in Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)
- IBCLC certification
- Previous/current postpartum experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years
