Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with multi-system issues in the Labor & Delivery/Postpartum unit. Gather data through history taking and physical assessment to interpret patient status and develop revised care plans. Administer medications, document progress toward desired outcomes, and teach patients and families about discharge planning and care management. Direct and supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants and unlicensed personnel while performing delegated activities. Manage time and resources to deliver safe, therapeutic patient care. Requires one year of prior clinical nursing experience and BSN preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse - New Hampshire Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- One year prior clinical nursing experience
- Evidence of experience in working effectively and positively with patients, care providers, and the multi-disciplinary team
- Evidence of the ability to perform as a member of a team
- Must regularly lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 pounds
- Must frequently lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 - 25 pounds
- Must occasionally lift, carry or push/pull up to 20 - 50 pounds
- Must have color vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have far vision
