Job Summary
Provide newborn care during deliveries, including immediate newborn care and support; maintain neonatal resuscitation skills for emergencies; assess high- and low-risk obstetrical patients and report issues to the physician; assist with transferring newborns when indicated and ensure proper identification/banding of newborns, mothers, and significant others; accurately document care activities and identification numbers; support obstetrical surgical procedures and intraoperative/post-anesthesia care; perform instrument sterilization to standards; offer emotional support to grieving families and connect them with appropriate resources; educate families about newborn care and post-discharge care. Shift: Night, Location: Bolingbrook, IL; Education: ADN required, BSN preferred; Licenses/Certs: BLS, NRP, RN; Neonatal Med certification preferred; 1+ acute nursing experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's of Nursing (ADN) or RN licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
