Job Summary

Complete a comprehensive assessment involving the initial and ongoing collection, analysis, and interpretation of patient data. Synthesize findings to identify problems, make nursing diagnoses, and formulate goals, teaching plans, and outcomes. Implement the plan of care, including beginning, delivering, assigning, or delegating interventions within legal and ethical parameters. Evaluate and report patient outcomes against evidence-based benchmarks, then plan follow-up care and referrals. Requires an Associate's degree or diploma, current Texas RN license, BLS certification, and one year of labor and delivery experience. Full-time 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shifts with rotating holidays and weekend coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree (ADN) or diploma in nursing
  • Current BLS (Issued by American Heart Association)
  • One year experience in area of position applying for
  • Current State of Texas License as a Registered Nurse
  • Certification in area of specialty (e.g., OB, MNN, C-EFM)
  • Current BLS upon hire
  • NRP required within 6 months of date of employment
  • ACLS required within 12 months of date of employment
  • Every other weekend & rotating holidays required
  • Shift differential provided

Desired Qualifications

  • Current electronic fetal monitoring course
  • S.T.A.B.L.E courses
