Job Summary
Provide comprehensive care to laboring patients, circulate for cesarean sections; monitor fetal heart tones, assist with deliveries; provide postpartum care, assess newborns, and administer medications; document in EMR, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team. role located in Syracuse, NY with full-time night shifts in a Level I Trauma Center environment; requires NY RN license and BLS; EPIC EMR experience preferred; circulating for C-sections required; willing to float between Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensure: Current New York State RN license; BLS certification (current or able to recertify)
- Experience: Minimum 1.5 years recent experience in an acute care facility of similar size/level within the past 2 years; circulating for C-sections required; scrubbing experience preferred
- Travelers will only be considered if experienced in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers
- Technical Skills: EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; willingness to float between Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units
